Area of operation of 89 Foundation

The area of operation will be all over Bangladesh or outside, if and when the foundation grows in stature, it will seek to globalize its operations. Periodically the sub-office of this foundation can be in different districts and upazila by the decision of the Executive Committee of the foundation.

To achieve this vision, the foundation would prioritize the following initiatives:

  1. To run, support, and administer a non-profit educational institution. To take various programs in key sectors like human rights, women and children issues, environment and natural resources utilization, health, population planning, nutrition, arsenic, legal aid support, agriculture, trafficking and sexual abuse, education, and administrative reform.
  2. To support education and treatment of children and women.
  3. To initiate action research in the field of environment, health, education, HRD development, gender mainstreaming, population planning, resource management and transfer those through implementation of specific pilot projects.
  4. To undertake programs for treatment, family planning, reduce unemployment problems, mass education, and eradication of the dowry system, gender development and prevention of child abuses.
  5. To organize conference, workshop, lecture, seminars and set up study groups and initiative training programs for furtherance of the objective of the foundation, through
  6. To undertake different programs for the widows, divorced, oppressed women and distressed people with a view to alleviate poverty.
  7. To identify the constraints faced due to flood and other natural calamities and undertake a program aiming at solving those. To face various kinds of disasters i.e. floods, droughts, cyclones, fires, and earthquakes, and extend hands for overall cooperation for the safety of lives and property.
  8. To raise awareness among the common people of different professions regarding STD/HIV/AIDS/hepatitis/autism and other infections and non-infectious diseases and reduce the risk of life through undertaking preventive programs, care, and research.
  9. To assist the Govt. and other national and foreign organizations or work as partners to conduct related activities of the country.
  10. To motivate and assist couples in adopting family planning methods with a view to check population growth.
  11. To take various activities for farmers to deliver seeds, fertilizer, and marketing agriculture products, to support and promote renewable energy projects.
  12. To liaison with similar other organizations/associations at home and abroad and exchange views and ideas, take up necessary projects jointly and arrange exchange programs between various societies at home and abroad. To act as a partner of local government as and when they are engaged purposefully in local developmental activities; and other related activities to develop skills and entrepreneurship development abilities;
  13. To establish and promote advanced technology and scientific ideas in different sectors, especially for low-income people. To undertake programs to distribute relief among the afflicted, deprived, poverty-stricken microfinance in the event of any natural disaster including extreme weather conditions, environmental pollution, flood, drought, storm surges, cyclones, earthquakes etc.
  14. To take a program about drawing, and sculpture, establish arts and crafts institutions, and arrange competitions.
  15. To establish, run, and maintain educational institutions including schools, colleges and polytechnic institutes, medical and dental colleges, university, and other educational and research institutions for the diffusion of useful knowledge among the people or target groups and build religious institutions like mosques, temple, church, pagoda for widening religious culture.

To organize vocational and other income-generating related training for students and community people, the entire training courses will be run by the organization through the participation of stakeholders. To manage and operate through establishing different types of units, such as health clinics, hospitals, schools, resource centers, information systems, training institutions, etc. as entrusted to it by the Government, semi government and non-government organizations, or other specific donors as well as on its own.
  17. To create an environment for music and culture practice, nurturing, training, and improvement, protecting the mainstream music, providing financial support to artists, promoting, expanding, and exchanging Bengali music at home and abroad. The foundation will also work for building global cultural harmony, participating in public awareness through cultural activities.
  18. To publish books, magazines, websites, research paper, rare and old manuscripts of lost folklore, myth book, historical places, various kinds of directories, health, education, science, technology etc.
  19. To obtain membership and pay fees for the membership of any national or international bodies, institutions, organizations, or NGO and to subscribe to their publications if any for furthering the objectives and purpose of the foundation.
  20. To maintain linkage with similar foundations in the country and outside for the exchange of research findings for undertaking joint research projects, seminars, workshop including mutual exchange of visits;
  21. To execute any type of public welfare or charitable activities.
